Virtual Waypoint Missions

When flying Virutal Stick Waypoint Missions please read the warnings on the preflight modal window in the app. If you experience any flights that do not perform as you would expect please save the flight plan and email the details to: brad@beyondthecube.ca

To Start Virtual Waypoint Missions

Start virtual waypoint missions by creating a flight plan in the normal way. Press the start mission button (play button) and then select the heading mode “Virtual Stick”. You will need to acknowledge a few extra warning messages to start the virtual waypoint mission.

Known Issues

  • Very long flights (> 30km) generate mission errors. There is an undocumented flight validation in some DJI drone firmware versions. If you are planning long flights you will needed to ensure they meet this validation: The total waypoint distance is less than 30 km, or the total waypoint distance + current location to the first waypoint + last waypoint to the home point totally is less than 40 km.
